Luxury camping at its best, the way camping should be. Nestled in a sheltered spot on a family run 1500 acre sheep and beef farm, 30 minutes from Feilding, with stunning panoramic views of Kapiti Island, Mt Egmont and Mt Ruapehu.
The energy source for this getaway is supplied through LPG gas bottles as it is completely off the grid. As there is no power available here, cellphones can be charged at the homeowner’s house. This getaway is fully self-catering.
The atmospheric outdoor baths have access to hot running water. As does the toilet and shower facilities. Your tent has a permanent wooden floor with wood fire to keep it warm. A queen size bed with a wool duvet provides a cosy atmosphere especially when you partly open the canvas curtain to expose an amazing view.

- This getaway has a 2 night minimum stay in place for weekends. Midweek (Sunday-Thursday) bookings for a single night will incur a surcharge of $30. A 3 night minimum is in place for bookings made for Labour weekend, Anniversary weekend and Queens Birthday weekend. A 4 night minimum stay is in place for bookings made for Easter weekend. This getaway is closed for June, July, August and September and reopens for the school holidays in late September.

Waituna Western was the best option for the Romantic time away from civilization that we needed to re-connect on the deep level that we know we have to do but sometimes gets lost in everyday life and pressures.
