Taihape Treasure is a private Retreat nestled in bush on the Rangitikei River with your very own 2 person spa pool and amazing views. Offering scenic rafting, Romantic or family picnics, camp outs, walks and guided trout fishing.
Facilities include an air bath with a Romantic view of the river below, a fully equipped kitchen, second bedroom, laundry facilities, lounge and bbq on your very own private deck.
A wholesome family cooked 3 course dinner is delivered to your Retreat where you can sit and enjoy the flowers and magnificent view by candlelight and moonlight or guests are welcome to go to the homestead.
Your 3 course homemade meal may consist of shrimp cocktail, soup or platter to start with, seasoned chicken, roast lamb or lasagna served with fresh home grown vegetables or summer salad, and a yummy dessert like apple crumble from our 100+ year old apple tree served with fresh whipped cream. A bottle of bubbles can be included as an additional extra.
We do not have a set menu and are happy to cater for vegetarian and glutton free. Or guests can bring their own provisions as the Retreat has a full kitchen. We can also provide a continental breakfast basket and or a cooked breakfast with fresh happy eggs from our free range happy chickens and smoky bacon.
There is a minimum 2 night stay in place for all weekend bookings.

Ian and I had a lovely weekend. The accommodation was excellent, clean and well maintained and the scenery was stunning! We did very much enjoy our time. Penny Calman

On arrival we jumped straight into the Spa, chilled out for a wee bit, had our Romantic 3 course dinner and then back into the Spa we went! Much needed body recovery. It sure did exceed expectations. We knew there was going to be a view but I really had no idea how amazing it was going to be. The spot was perfect, the cottage was perfect. It couldn’t have been more enjoyable. The contents of the box were useful for sure! The chocolates were a yummy treat after dinner. We used the bath salts in the bath on Sunday morning which was great with our sore bodies and we used the body oil for massages last night back at home. We LOVED it thank-you. Tyrone & Maxine
